I agree with U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth’s statements. Infuriatingly, the sentences meted out to the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrectionists mock the seriousness of the crimes committed. These criminals are free after short sentences for an armed insurgency on Congress. They tried to destroy my country and the peaceful transfer of power. That they still can be U.S. citizens is an affront to those who voted in free and fair elections and who truly love this country. The sentences are an abomination, as are the rioters.
