The 74-year-old accused Donald Trump on Sunday (June 19) of recklessly attempting to escalate the violence already raging at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, against his vice president, Mike Pence.
Lofgren who happens to be a member of the House Select Committee investigating the insurgency cited the former president’s tweet criticizing Pence on the same day Trump supporters stormed the Capitol.
